Tennis/Golfer’s Elbow

Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow are types of overuse injuries that affect the tendons around the elbow. This is caused from gripping too hard, wrist movement, and arm strain. The pain in tennis elbow is typically on the outside of the elbow while golfer’s elbow is on the inside. These injuries are common in sports like tennis, golf, baseball, or even typing. Squeezing a handle to tightly to doing repetitive motion without rest can make cause the tendons to overload.

Let’s keep our elbow’s healthy!

Your forearms are like shock absorbers for your elbow. If they are strong and flexible, less stress is put on the joint. Avoid gripping too hard, strengthen your forearms and fingers, and take take breaks when your elbow feels sore. Simple exercises like wrist hold stretches, wrist flexion and extension and light-weight wrist rotations can help keep your wrist strong and elbows pain-free.
